This is looking down the rivermouth of a river at Denison Beach, on the east coast
of Tasmania, a few kilometres north of Bicheno.
In the distance, the beach and ocean is visible.
The sky was almost cloud-free, with just a few small clouds visible above the horizon.
I like the subtle sun-rays visible at the top left of the photo (click the photo to view

I like shots taken through reeds & other plant life, it adds another demention to them & not just another landscape or seascape.

  • Thanks Glenn. I agree – it adds some foreground interest that helps make a landscape photo interesting.

lovely serene scene, looks a great place for a picnic

  • I’m not sure about the picnic – it’s actually right next to one of the main roads. The road is probably about 2m behind where I was standing when I took this photo!
However, the beach in the background would certainly be suitable for a picnic ;-)
