This is one of my new pictures in oil paint.
I have used acrylic paint for twenty years and have only recently discovered oils!

The oil paint has been layered over an acrylic black ink sketch.

I have tried to convey the idea that society places such importance on beauty and perfection, but that we all have cracks and imperfections and that we are all damaged in some way. I think this is very relevant in the way that modern society dictates what is acceptable for women to aspire to.
