I called her friend

I called her friend
And by the end she was
Not because we talked a lot
We didn’t talk at all
As I recall we said hello
After that she didn’t want to know
But later on when everyone was gone
She was sitting on her own
Because she was alone and so was I
I thought I’d try a smile
In a while she smiled too-what else could she do
Now I think we’re friends forever(she does too)
