How beautiful – what amazing colours ! Very different from our British red fox.
Thank you very much for your kind comments Sandra. It does look quite different to the red fox you get in the UK (we saw those as well on our trip) but it is in fact the same species (Vulpes vulpes). It is a is a partially melanistic colour variant (excessive development of dark-colored pigment in the skin) The opposite of albinism.
