A magnificent Bald Eagle soaring high above the ocean off the east coast of Vancouver Island, BC.
This was one of the images taken during the first year of photographing action at a Bald Eagle’s nest. After a few visits and many hours of waiting patiently I eventually captured this shot of one of the eagles soaring close to the nest almost at eye level to the top of the cliff where I was standing. I was truly inspired by the occasion and returned to photograph at the same nest site the following three years. For further details of my experiences photographing at this nest site please see here
