Taken a split second after Final Approach a magnificent Bald Eagle, firmly clutching a recently caught fish in its talons, dramatically reduces speed as it prepares to land on the nest and feed its young. Note how the eagle curves its powerful wings inwards and spreads its tail feathers in an effort to slow down its descent. Taken off the east coast of Vancouver Island.
