A magnificent Bald Eagle, with attitude, just landed on a tree branch at the top of a tall Douglas Fir very close to it’s nest.
Photographed off the east coast of Vancouver island, BC.

    Magnificent capture! What a pose!! Fabulous detail and marvelous colors! ... you’ve left me wondering about your perspective… if he’s landing on the top of a tall fir… where WERE YOU?!! In a tree?

    Thank you very much DJ! I was on a cliff…. pretty much at eye level with the top of the tree. Turned out to be a great position for the photograph! (Can’t imagine climbing a tree with a camera and 500mm lens on my back!!!)
