Martin McKiernan

I am an Englishman living in Germany. I have been a hobby photographer since the age of 10 when I was given a plastic camera for a birthday present. I think my first photo was of a train opposite my Aunt Bettys house in West Bridgeford, Nottingham.

In the 1980’s I started painting watercolours of landscapes I had photographed. Now, 25 years later I am a local artist painting and sculpting in various mediums. I exhibit my work when ever the oppurtunity presents itself.

My most recent work has been influenced by a heart attack I suffered 5 years ago and the following Burn Out it helped cause. Having spent and still spending a lot of my time meditating, thinking, and praying I have found a peace within myself which I can only describe as wonderful. Its this peace which I want to convey in my future work.
