I look at evangelicals and for the most part what do I see…
Fans of church and organized religion,
Telling outsiders they too can be free!
One day a week surly all your vices can be set aside…
Yet it’s the rest of the week that reveals,
Your heart and what’s deep inside.
Being a follower of Christ is not something one wares,
Upon his or her sleeve…
Nor is it convincing others they are in dyer need,
Being a follower of Christ is knowing in your heart,
You yourself believe.
God cares not about daily individual routines…
Rather He cares for the individual,
As a valued and precious human being.
Religion emphasis’ so called Christian deeds…
And yet the definition of faith itself,
Is hope in the unseen.
So let not your heart be troubled by standards,
Established by religious followers or religious fans…
For the grace of God is subject too,
Neither man’s gross indifference,
Nor man’s pious stand.
