They’ve taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they’ve laid Him.
The first day of the week and he should be there…
In the worship music, in the fellowship, in the many words,
The preacher shares.

They’ve taken away my Lord and I do not know where they’ve laid Him.
Words of nonsense for those who refuse to see…
For it is the birth of a social network,
In which they have long since chosen to believe.

They’ve taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they’ve laid Him.
To whom or what will they cling,
The latest worldly trend, mixed with another spiritual spin…
Therefore how are they not like,
Reeds ever blowing, in the wind.

They’ve taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they’ve laid Him.
And though I maybe slow of heart in that which I believe,
My faith is deeply rooted in the word of God,
And not, in what, I do and do not see.

Artist's Description

I was inspired by a young man who looked as though he had little to offer, but in fact, was overflowed with the grace of God.
