I get asked many times if I have got a nice panorama of the famous Scafell Massif and until now have always said not really. I therefore decided to do something about it so I climbed up to the Three Tarns from the Old Dungeon Ghyll pub just after a spell of snow and heavy frosts as I know this spot gives the ‘classic view’ of the Scafell range. It took me quite some time to climb to Bowfell due to the very, very slippery conditions but it was all worth while. The view over to the Scafell Massif was quite simply superb. Clear frosty conditions a good helping of snow and great light. It was bitterly cold on the top so I didn’t stay very long but managed to capture a few images I was pleased with
