Martine this is stunning, I couldn’t get over the amount of dogs everywhere in Phuket. What amazed me was the huge monument of a dog in memory of the all the dogs lost in the tsunami. I love this image, its gorgeous in every respect.

Thank you very much for you interesting comment. I’ve been to Phuket too and I didn’t see the memorial… but I’ve been thinking about these poor doggies, drawn in the tsunami. I was in Pattong beach, where it has been terrible.
I suppose, by my images, you guess that I love dogs and animals… so yes, when an animal is in pain or even worse, it brakes my heart. Dogs in Thailand seems sort of “happy”, then the dogs I saw, even if they look rough most of the time. They were very gentle too…
Well I stop here because I could go on for very long time !!!

A contemplative, thought provoking image to be certain. The dogs in the image break my heart. They suffer quietly. When traveling where stray street dogs abound I take leftovers to discreetly give to these unwanted animals. No, it doesn’t do a great deal to help their situation but at least they can know a touch of kindness once in their lives. Thank you for posting this. Your heart is in the right place.

Thank you very much. Yes I agree with you these poor doggies are suffering… but these who are living in temples seems happier than the other stray dogs. My heart is breaking when I see or imagine any animal suffering. If I can offer them some kindness, I do, just like you do :-)
