Steps carved in rock, looking back from Hargraves lookout in Shipley Plateu, Blue Mountains national park near Blackheath. in good weather from that lookout you can see whole Megalong Valley. nikon D90, f22, iso100, 1/2s, cropped . slice of “tobacco”, slice of ND grad, CPL – the filters, gave that right amount of warmth, – despite few C’ degrees cold, and mist sticking to everything, it was a good day. I don’t know why , but i love fog, somehow my heart feels cheered up and happy, quiet , uplifted and joyful, silent and in awe. just comfortably surrounded :) .
Queen’s birthday long weekend , saturday 11, 06 2011. middle of Australian winter.

I love the views from this area. I have at least one on here somewhere. Nice shot Martin. It looks bloomin’ cold.

Beautiful shot!! I really like your choice of filters, gives it a warmth all it’s own.

  • Thank you very much James, someone has finaly noticed the filters, giving that right amount of warmth, – despite few C’ degrees cold, and mist sticking to everything, it was a good day. I don’t know why , but i love fog, somehow my heart feels cheered up and happy, quiet , uplifted and joyful, silent and in awe. just comfortably surrounded :) cheers.

Huge congrats on the HP feature! The Blue Mountains are magic at any time but add a mist, and they really are out of this world. Just LOVE the composition – the steps seem to be leading us into the unknown … Well done.

  • Thank you Rosalie, when i go to the mountains, all i want to see is something foggy, misty and different, i guess lord of the rings has still huge influence on my “mountain visions”, cheers.
