L'escargot on Rue Montorgueil, Paris, France - with border by

Rue Montorguil is on the right bank near Les Halles. It was the subject of a famous painting by Monet who painted it from a balcony in the street depicting it full of flags during the World Fair of June 1878.

If you look closely at my painting you will see the golden snail which is the sign for the famous restaurant L’escargot.

Fred’s paintings & photographs cover a diversity of mood and interpretation of the landscape, cities, people and light.

His work has been acquired for private and corporate collections in most states of the USA, Canada, UK, France, New Zealand, Singapore & in all Australian states.
