The main streets of Bacchus Marsh will be lit with hundreds of brass kerosene lanterns this Friday night as part of the grand opening of the weekend of centenary celebrations for Bacchus Marsh Fire Brigade.
A torchlight procession will begin at 7.30pm from Maddingley Park, with over 300 fire brigade members from across the state to be led down Grant and Main Sts by pipe bands and accompanied by tankers, CFA vehicles and antique fire trucks.
The spectacle is just one of the events planned by Bacchus Marsh Fire Brigade for many months. The procession will conclude at Bacchus Marsh Public Hall where participants will also take part in a civic reception.
