Bowman's Wild Flower Preserve by

A park below New Hope, Pennsylvania, named after my great Grandmother’s family. It is a lovely place with paths where you can walk for miles. My Grandfather was a mounted guard in this park. This is a true wildflower park and you can buy some at sales during the year.

The tower is supposed to commemorate the place where Washington spied the Hessians across the river, before he surprised them that Christmas during the Revolution.

Acrylic on canvas 7" X 10"

park, flower, preserve, bowman, pennsylvania, marriet

I started drawing for my son, who was fascinated with it as a child. I took a few classes in colored pencil and watercolor and found the company to be exceptional, and have loved the art world since.

The tower looks quite mysterious doesn’t it.

  • It used to be that you could climb to the top on the spiral stairs that go up the inside of the tower. The railing got shaky and old and they put in an elevator but now the entry is $5. Progress! Thanks so much for the fave and comment.
