Where to buy Canon Lenses?
I’m after L-series lenses in particular the 24-105mm. Where is the best place to buy them in melbourne?
Any ideas?
Thank you for reading. ;o)

There is a HK dealer that is well used by the people here in the UK (those who object to high UK prices for photographic equipment. Our prices are nearly always higher here than say, in the USA for the same thing!)
The website is www.onestop-digital.com
Worth a try, although be careful that any “international” Canon warranty offered from HK will be honoured by Canon Australia.
I have the lens you mention and its very good, especially in terms of the IS system. Not as sharp as my 17-40L but very useful.
Hope this helps a bit Marnie.

Another Hong Kong dealer are Digital Rev http://www.digitalrev.com/
I’ve used them before on several occasions adn they’re about half to a third of the price of some of the major retail dealers in Melbourne for lenses and other stuff.
They have an ebay store as well as their regular online site (above).
Have fun!! (and if you want any more info just let me know)

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions. I’ve found that buying some items on ebay and some from Digital Rev is most cost effective. Also found more things i want now!

I’d also recommend BHPhotovideo , who are based in New York.

I got all my lenses from a mob in sydney – grey product (imported) but nice and CHEAP…

Their ordering seems a bit dodgey… BUT I ordered 2 lenses thursday afternoon at 4pm and they were sitting on my desk at 10am the next morning – very impressive.
Or get them from the BEST camera store in the whoooole world….

as suggested above… I have ordered form them from Aust before with no dramas.
