Hello everyone! I am a photographer and photo educator in Calgary, Canada.

I see RedBubble as a way to develop my creative process and have fun with photography. I shot commercially for several years, but now I’m teaching photography and Photoshop and I love it!

I teach my own online photography courses through my website: imagemaven.com. I also teach part time at SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary.

I’m always working on ways to work with image composites, as I’m inspired by the work that other people on RedBubble do with layers and texturing. I like experimenting with colour tone adjustments and I also like to combine different images together using various blending modes.

For my technical process, I shoot 100% raw images. I find that I can do all of what I need to do in the post processing of the raw files. The exceptions are when I need to close-cut objects from their background, or do skin smoothing on portraits where I’m adding adjustment layers, and using blending modes as described above. I use Adobe Camera Raw (ACR), Aperture, Lightroom, and Capture One Pro for my post processing.
