Lillith waking up

Photograph, Puppet – Paper mache, milliput clay, feather

Zizi was a dreamer. Every night she dreamed of Lillith – a mysterious feathery goddess who would descend from the dark side of the Moon only to make love to her. Zizi lived her days in a dreamy state, not able to connect to the real world around her. All she did was wait for the night to come so she could be with Lillith.
One day a talented Sculpture visited her city. He first saw Zizi sitting in a park and daydreaming. He thought she was a beautiful statue. When he saw her again buying white lilies at the florist he instantly fell in love with her. He invited her to see his works of art. His warm and earthy heart soon conquered and grounded Zizi’s dreamy soul. She became his muse and they travelled across the seas to the exotic land where he came from.
The problem with travelling the seas was that the salty water washed away any traces of Zizi and Lillith couldn’t find her anymore. She tried everything she could, but all in vain. Zizi was gone.
In a desperate attempt to reconnect to Zizi’s soul Lillith kept visiting the bedroom where Zizi used to sleep. There she would sing the saddest of all songs.
