Today’s Headline: “The God particle no longer a theory”
“HUMANITY’S understanding of the origin of the universe after the big bang has taken a historic leap forward with the discovery of a subatomic particle that scientists have been searching for and theorizing about for almost 50 years”

Which immediately reminded me Douglas Adams, one of the best comic science fiction writer. In his first novel “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” they builds a supercomputer to answer the ultimate question about the universe and the meaning of life.
It took the computer 7½ million years to answer: “42”
“What does it mean?” they asked, and the computer replied:
“What was the question?”

P.S . In the book The mouses were making experiments in humans…

Sweet Large Hadron Collider mouse that! Very clever!
Saw the headlines today, I am waiting for hover-boards/cars etc.
..and thanks for all the fish. Remember that:-D

  • No big titles today… but people do try to understand the meaning of life right now, all over the world.. ;-)
Thank you very much for all the fish Dani !

Very concise and insightful Mark, we are vermin who weasel our ways to answers only to find bigger and more perplexing questions. The infinity clause that expands also contracts and we are always going to be astronauts as well as intronauts. The search itself much like the trip is the reward, the journey where ever it may lead often reveals what we are made of, and today, we are rats stuck on a Pi wheel. Can’t wait for the Higgs Boson Bomb we’ll be able to make now, bound to be infinitely more destructive than anything we’ve ever known. One day, and probably very soon, man will peer into a microscope or collider and come eye to eye with God, and the first one to blink will lose his balls

  • You right, we chasing the ultimate Q just to find their is another and bigger Q… like mice spinning in a cage. I totally forgot the “Higgs Boson Bomb”. Coming soon to our doorstep any time..
Einstein once said that the only thing he really wants to understand is what God think.. ;) and if I will come eye to eye with God i will just ask: WTF?
Thank you for smart observations dear friend !

oh, yes, this just made me jump everywhere (nearly:))))
science is the real lans of freedom (art is as well)
just because to build and discover, you must forget “the rules” and only open minded spirit can open new doors
I’ve never heard of Douglas Adam (poor french me…..) but I might investigate:)

and above all this image is just fabulous
    makes my mind dance
    and it’s a great feeling

  • True, Science and art have a lot in common… what drives us to explore, reach new destinations.
Solving and reveling the human behavior, the world and his SALIENCE secrets…
We will keep searching, that’s the beauty…
    Thank you Magali ;)
