I arrived in Quebec after dark. That’s not normally how I prefer to see a city for the first time, but Vieux-Québec in the winter at night is beautifully festive as you can see by this image. As cold as my bones felt, my spirit was warm looking at the glowing street lights and decor. I loved how the colors from the lights mixed in reflections from the ice and snow. It was truly a winter wonderland at night and I happily trudged on to enjoy and photograph those scenes.
To emphasize the already painterly feel, I have textured this image to enhance the illustrative feeling of this view from Canada in winter.
