This mansion is a little worn around the edges but still gorgeous. This was either on or near the Paseo Montejo, a 19th century boulevard built to mimic the grand boulevards of Paris. Today it’s lined with a mixture of old stately houses and businesses. The neighboring streets have more of these beauties, often a bit worn by the weather or otherwise stark white – Mérida is known as the “white city” because of these stately buildings.
