Part of the road map of fading America are these little roadside motels that once dotted the landscape of America’s highway system. As the interstate highways came in and began to bypass these places, and our expectations as travelers changed, these places have fallen on hard times
Now, somewhere on the rural highways of Georgia, places like this sink into the weeds and are reclaimed by nature, but not forgotten entirely just yet.

Lovely light & composition. Nice work.
Great looking shot, good content. I see these all the time here.
this is a fabulous image – especially when viewing it in the dark as the colours and tones really stand out – in particular the sky – really nice composition too.
This is great, very… not sure what the word I am looking for is.. very impressive though. I would normally look at something like this in real life and say( hmmm.. they need to update their neon" But you have turned it into a masterpiece. Well done.
I think I have stayed here before, Uncle Bates use to have quiet a bisness going at one time, HA
Love the shop mark
cheers
Cracking image Mark !! lovely composition, real nice indeed.
Mark you could take a road trip and photograph them. Or I could win the lottery and come and do it.
man, you are on target with this. love these old off the beaten path slices of fading americana.
Wow, this looks like the Bates Motel. Sad. It’s like saying goodbye to youth. I love it.
I like this one a lot, it has a great feel to it… there’s something truely special about the old motels….
