Past Remembered - Colonial Williamsburg Home by

Colonial Williamsburg is a fun place to visit, but you never quite know (unless you have the guide) whether you’re looking at one of the genuine colonial buildings or one of the many buildings reconstructed in the 1930’s. The house in this shot seems faithful enough to its colonial heritage, but the Elkanah Deane house, as it’s known, is actually a reconstruction. The original was gone by the end of the 18th century. Still, this image from the Palace Green in the heart of Williamsburg makes you feel as if you’re standing in the past.
