The Great Western Desert
This was pretty much my first real non obscured view of the Sahara. If you’ve seen the photo of me on camel back, this is where it was taken, on those sands ahead. This view is from the Nile.
It was an unbelievable view from the boat. The view from the camel was incredible too, but I was too busy hanging on for dear life to get any really awesome shots. I would have happily traded my time on the camel to have stood amongst those dunes and taken some more photos
I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to visit and enjoy the beauty of Egypt.

Thanks Lois – glad you like it!
I’m so glad I got to go. I nearly went the year before and put it off for the cost. I finally decided to just chuck it and go. Totally worth it.

The light and the sky are just so gorgeous in this shot, and the felucca’s add a bit of interest and activity.
