Never Surrender

Never Surrender

“We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.”
Winston Churchill

If you haven’t guessed – that statue is the silhouette of Winston Churchill looking upon Parliament from a small park adjacent.

The sound of Churchill’s voice will echo in iconography of Great Britain for a long time. Although well before my time, it’s one of the first things I think of from London, its fierce survival in war time.

Brilliant angle on this Mark! I’m sure all the other bystanders were wondering why you were taking a picture of this statue from behind! The reason is clear. This ismage says so much about London, Winston Churchill and what he and all others were fighting for. Great work!
