Helen of Troy

ACEO, 2.5×3.5 inches, watercolour and gouache, 2008.

A portrait of Helen of Troy. She was married to Menelaus, King of Sparta. She was promised to a Trojan prince, Paris, by Aphrodite – some stories say she was abducted by him, some that she went willingly. In either case, it was the catalyst for the Trojan war.

Beautiful! I love the inspiration for your work. I don’t think the mythological gods would be in any way dissapointed with your interpretations! I think they are wonderful!
