Something catches my eye and I photograph it, always with the intention of reworking it into something I can call my own. My thinking: It’s not what you look at that matters but what it is you see and how you see it. That’s what matters. That’s how the artist shines through.

This looks like my baby Kuba, She is a complete water hound lol, actually I should say water retriever lol

  • Every time I would go down to the bay beach, this fella would be sitting there like this, alone! I never knew why. Maybe he just wanted for somebody, anybody, to come along and throw something out into the water so he could fetch it. I dunno!

Oh yeah they want to play in the water…. I swear sometimes you can read their expressions and it is saying “come on just throw the stick, throw the stick” lol Animals are great lol

  • Yes they are! I believe they are all angels, not in the biblical sense but in the spiritual sense. They are about goodness and all things wholesome and natural. They don’t have a bad bone in their bodies, not a one! We learn much from them when we care for them. They are teachers by an unspoken language.

I don’t think I could have said it any better. This is so true. Animals are trusting, loving, and so wanting to be loved. We are very lucky to experience having them in our lives. Thank you for yacking at me.

  • You’re welcome! It’s a pleasure talking with you, really.

Good one Mark, theres that whimsy again !

  • I know what you’re saying Anthony. For me, it would be overkill to do it all the time so I fight the temptation to do so. But I really am attracted to whimsy and humour. I mean, we’re surrounded by it and I just happen to see it even in the most unobvious of places! Thanks for your great comments. I really enjoy what you have to say.

She looks as if she has been siting there for quiet a while – the water around her is realatively still. This is what makes this photo/artwork look surreal to me. Love it

  • Great comment. Thanks Paul. This fella would sit there all day it seemed. Whenever you happened by this little beach on the bay, he’d be sitting right there in that same spot… waiting…
