People on a beach doing whatever they want. Digitally repixelated photograph. Click once on image to enlarge.

Something catches my eye and I photograph it, always with the intention of reworking it into something I can call my own. My thinking: It’s not what you look at that matters but what it is you see and how you see it. That’s what matters. That’s how the artist shines through.

wow – you know i love this mark… great use of space and texture… creating art out of life’s simplicities – beautiful work for me!

  • Thanks Paul. Come to think of it mate, isn’t that what you also do, creating art out of life’s simplicities?

Another beauty in this beach series Mark, love the poses and placement of the figures. The heads down poses seem to create an eerie mood.

  • Yeah, the heads down thing is kinda eerie, I agree with you but that’s what you see a lot on the beach. Everybody’s looking for something precious and it’s down there somewhere. Thanks as always Adrian.

Agree with Paul and Adrian………….. love your use of space and the subjects are exquisitely interesting……….. and that effect ………………do you get that in photoshop or some other application………….?? superb………..

  • Hi Linda. Thanks for the comp my love! I only work with Photoshop so whatever you’re seeing in this comes from there. There are so many available tools to work with and I just jump from one to another and use’em in all different kinds of ways. I hardly use PS tools the way you’re supposed to but that’s because I’m a outlaw rebel. LOL!

Quietly ‘shelling’ on a remote beach on a fine day is one of the nicest ways of passing time, and this reminds me of happy days spent doing just that!

  • Absolutely, me too! You could get so lost in limboland and lose sight of time itself without any concern. Best therapy I know.
