I think it’s a good pic, a true and faithful record of what’s there.
(I’m even more happy that I live in the country. Too much chaos and visual “noise” for this ADHD to handle.)

  • Mark Ross replied

You know Dayonda, we take things like this in NYC for granted. People just pass by it, not even seeing it (like so many other things), so it might as well not be there. It apparently takes someone of a different bent to see this for what it is – chaos and visual noise! Funny, but that’s a wonderfully precise appraisal of it, one I’ve never heard uttered before. I too see it that way and yet I find some of it visually interesting enough to try and do something with it. The street art that’s up on my rb pages has been seriously embellished in the attempt to make it attractive in some odd way. The original takes are dull by comparison. Like anything else, it’s not what you do but how you do it that counts. At least that’s how I look at it as an artist. Thanks for your comment. You made me think about this in a different way!

The images in this one are so beautiful Mark, very detailed , something sad about the images ! excellent non the less ! Jane

  • Mark Ross replied

Thanks Jane! Some time after shooting this photo I came across a video on the Internet of the “artist” who happened to create this in which he is creating this very same wall art. What are the odds of that happening? His finished piece was much less complicated then what you see here so it figures that others have added something of their own to it since its inception. I think it’s far more interesting now then the original ever was. Anyway, that’s the story on it. -Mark

my point being , can’t quit see the local farmers going around doing their “art”! lol jane

  • Mark Ross replied

Wow Jane… so you’re a country girl? :<} Then the stuff I post here on rb must seem kind of unusual or at least out of the ordinary, yes? You must be quite an open-minded person then. This is interesting.

this is really cool mark, id love to cut it off the wall and just hang it against a huge blank white wall. you did really well to capture and frame this piece as im sure its hard to spot in its present environment.

  • Mark Ross replied

Actually, the original graffiti was very washed out and the color pallette was very different. I changed it all around digitally to make it strong that could hang on a wall and look like something. I like what you have to say about it! Thanks.

    expressive and beautiful~!!

Much appreciated! Sometimes graffiti becomes something more then someone’s signature. That’s when I think it deserves some attention!
