Tar Beach #1
See if you can find them. Here’s what you do in New York if you want a real tan! You don’t see this as often as you used to but they still do it, even despite the health risks. Go figure. Click once on image to enlarge.

Elana Bailey
Mark, how bizarre. Love the comp and the perspective.
Mark Ross replied
Hi Elana. It’s funny, isn’t it? There are so many interesting sights to see wherever you go. Most people are in such a rush to get somewhere, that they don’t see where they are until they’re where they want to be. I really appreciate your compliments. Thanks so much, really!
Elana Bailey
You are so right. If we just stopped, looked and appreciated, then we would all be much richer for it.
janeymac
fantastic ! It’s like another world up there on the rooves. brilliant shot
Mark Ross replied
Hi Janeymac. Hehe, this is not a view everyone gets to see of New York! It’s from the roof terrace of the hi-rise apartment building where I live. I’ve taken lots of pics from up there, each has something distinctive about it, most are closer in on the people themselves. I think they’re interesting and whimsical. Thanks (as always) for your delightful comments!

Ahhh….skin cancer city. At least it’d be warm up there on the tar roof.
Liv Stockley
