White Cat In A Window

White Cat In A Window

A white Persian cat in a burgundy red sweater sitting in a window looking out on the street. He refuses to look my way even though I’m acting like a monkey to get his attention! After feeling like a fool, I give up. Never did get him to look my way. Little rascal! Click once on image to enlarge.

I wonder if he’s thinking, what would the neighbourhood cats think of me dressed in this get up, I’ll be the laughing stock of the kitty litter! Great find and shot.

  • Mark Ross replied

Thanks so much! I rarely go out without my camera and I’m always looking, so if it’s there, I can get it. This was found at an outdoor flea market in New York’s Greenwich Village. The little tyke seemed quite proud of his fine threads if you ask me! He appeared to be posing on his window perch and for a long time at that. Maybe he didn’t look in the mirror first?

this is great…I love the HUGE bell on his neck too…good thing he’s a big kitty, otherwise he wouldn’t be able to hold up his neck with that collar on. I love the sweater, though everytime I’ve ever dressed up my cats, they just lay there and don’t move. humm…that gives me an idea…lol just kidding. He’s a cutie!!!

  • Mark Ross replied

Funny, what you say about dressing up your kitties. That’s what my guys do too. They just go kerplunk and then no movee like you put them in a straight jacket! Hee hee! Thanks so much Christina for all your wonderful comments. Smiles to ya!

  • Mark Ross replied

Somehow, I can’t see a Mafia don having a cat but hey, ya neva know!
Don Kitty-ote! I like that. Wasn’t he Spanish?

Mafia bosses (dons, Italian and Spanish) have cats. The next time I talk to one I’ll tell them that Mark Ross said y’all don’t have cats.

Yes Don Quixote is from Spanish lit and theater….he wasn’t in the Mafia but I couldn’t resist using the name…. :-)

Last but not least, are you going to tell me you can’t see this cat breaking out into operatic song from his there balcony?

By the way, I really like this photo or I wouldn’t tease you about it.

  • Mark Ross replied

Well he looks to be a bit of a stiff collar doesn’t he? Or maybe he’s more of a priss? Alas, we shall never know! But yes, I can see him breaking into operatic song now that you mention it! You wanna bet he hates being stuffed into that silly costume they’ve got him in? BTW, I just remembered Marlon Brando holding and stroking a cat in the garden scene with his grandson from the movie, The Godfather, just before he croaks. Remember that? Of course, Brando decided to play the scene that way all on his own; it wasn’t scripted and come to think of it, he wasn’t really a Don. Spanish Dons? Never knew there was such a thing. Do tell.

Spanish Dons as in royalty not mafia…. :-)
