Thanks again amarica. The beach is a simple and uncluttered world. It lends itself well to poetic imagery. I live in the bright light, looking for the relief of darkness (Yin/Yang). That’s why I’ve reversed the polarity of light within most of the beach images I’ve worked on. Thanks for your observations and for your kind words!

Totally PS’d Glenn! The original was in full sunlight, very little mood to it. I needed to come up with some new pixel restructuring ideas to make this image look like it does. That was a major challenge but one I learned a lot from. Thanks for your observations.

Your comment is music to my ears Jo! I’m an artist not a documentarian. It’s not a faithful rendering of anything I train my eye on that matters to me. Rather, it’s the “special” that I see in a subject and which will be filtered through my own sensory system so that what comes out on the opposite end from which it came in will at the very least, be mine. Thanks for your input Jo. I value it.

Thanks so much for your great compliment. Like much of the most creative work here on rb (in my opinion), the final effect was obtained in PS. The original photo was shot in strong daylight and so was quite bright (nothing like this version). It needed a helping hand to make something “interesting” of it. The original had the subject I wanted to show but the lighting was lacking drama or mood so that’s where the post processing came in. I’m glad you like this!
