Terowie in S.A. is a victim of changing times. The railway left and the town died overnight. Circumstances and times change.
Thanks to the unknown melbourne stencil artist

I look for design in everyday situations, Industrial grunge, typography, quirky landscapes, colour, form and anything with a design aesthetic that catches my eye. I completed a Diploma of Graphic Design and have continually worked in this field. I prefer to compose and design in-camera – my graphic design training taking over:) I return to fertile ground once in a while trying to improve previous pictures.

Nice image Mark. Like the use of foreground/background here! Its very surreal looking too.

Great piece of social documentary Mark..obviously a sad way to go for any town, and unfortunately the story is repeated throughout regional Australia. The blank faces of these shops have a real emptiness about them, but yes, they make for great photo/graphic subject matter. Very nice work.

Thanks guys. i have reduced the saturation a tad, just to add to the faded and
    sad outlook:)

i love this for so many reasons – love the irony of the john howard stencil on this ghost-town of a place (which as you know i visited about 2 weeks ago!).

Thanks guys. Craig, yes the Stobie is
an interesting S.A. invention. I think they will still be around in a 1000 years they look
    so strong!
