Retro T for the old school crowd. Film long gone and long forgotten.

I look for design in everyday situations, Industrial grunge, typography, quirky landscapes, colour, form and anything with a design aesthetic that catches my eye. I completed a Diploma of Graphic Design and have continually worked in this field. I prefer to compose and design in-camera – my graphic design training taking over:) I return to fertile ground once in a while trying to improve previous pictures.

Very nicely made Mark. I can still vividly remember, back in the late ’60s, using Kodak Verichrome Pan and developing in Microdol X to produce almost grainless results…..a superb combination. Those were the colourless B/W days !! Regards, Steve

  • thanks steve. Yes, i still have my enlarger and equipment but alas, never to be used again. I was an Ilford cibachrome and FP4 & FP5 B&W man mainly, but can’t complain. Digital is a lot cleaner and easier to operate:)

A nice one to revisit Mark. I was suprised when my son in Year 9 told me they were doing all their photography with film, so I resurrected a Pentax film SLR for him. Its good when they can still get a grounding in the traditional stuff and see where it all came from.

  • Thanks Bruce, yes i am surprised film is still used. Good fun though for kids just learning. I have fond memories of my first Pentax K1000!
