Gustav Weindorfer first saw this valley in 1909.
In 1912 he started building his chalet “Waldeheim”
-meaning “forest home”. Essentially Australia’s
first “Eco” resort he hosted many guests
here to show early tourists the majestic wilderness.
The boathouse gives a great foreground to
Cradle Mountain.

I look for design in everyday situations, Industrial grunge, typography, quirky landscapes, colour, form and anything with a design aesthetic that catches my eye. I completed a Diploma of Graphic Design and have continually worked in this field. I prefer to compose and design in-camera – my graphic design training taking over:) I return to fertile ground once in a while trying to improve previous pictures.

Beautifully composed Mark. It gives a sense of majesty about the place. Wish I could do landscape like this.
