Outback Ruin
This ruin just outside Burra in South Australia was made famous as the cover art of Midnight Oil’s classic 1986 album Diesel and Dust
While there are many ruins in this area – the gateway to the outback – this oneis the most photogenic due to its classic shape and relative completeness. The rolling hills in the background also make for a picturesque scene. Just don’t be tempted to jump the fence as an ominous “No Trespassing” sign leaves you in no doubt this is an inhospitable area not only for the original settlers, but pesky tourists as well, especially those with cameras!

This image really touched me. Thhe sky has so much depth to it and I love the idea that beyond the hills lies untamed land for miles and miles.

With shots like this, you’ll be re-named Ken and be required to open a gallery in Southbank! Seriously, a beautiful perspective on a really famous musical icon. I love the grad on the sky too.
