mate, i’m coming back to this piece. there were a few things i realised about this piece after seeing the printed (and bigger) version. i love the use of primary colors (going through a phase) and this image has captured it perfectly. the vivid reds and blues stand out immediately. there is a great balance between these two colors, neither one of them override the other. the greens on the other hand are very discreet. although you have the trees on the right hand side, the greens that struck the most is the line of grass running from the left centre. life and breath in a world of manmade construction. love this image – my favourite of your folio.
on a side note: the lines and geometric elements of this piece is somewhat overbearing. it’s very logical and structured. this is offset by the curved human figures..
Mark Hayward replied
I am so impressed with your attention to detail Z. Your ability to analyse and verbalise in written form what you see and feel is a real talent. Thankyou for turning your critical gaze on my work, and for your positive review! I’m honored.
