Criticism

To judge or not to judge
That is the real question
Who am I to Judge you?
What makes me feel Superior to anybody else?
I am no better then you
You are no better than me
We are just different in our ways
And what you and anyone else
May think about me,
It’s none of my business
If I know right from wrong
Then I know that
The answer to the question
Is
Not to judge

I have often wondered if judge is the wrong word for what people are doing at the time when we feel this emotion? I read somewhere that people respond to what is familiar in the other person. If that is true then they are really rejecting their own qualities they find hard to accept. With that in mind then it is a simple matter of watching them do so knowing they are in denial is all. Just a thought dear friend. Hope all is well in your part of the world and you did not sustain damage from Mother Natures latest roar. xo

  • true, but now you have me thinking. I hate when that happens. :) I only lost power for 12 hours. If you know Pamela Phelps she is without power for another 10 days. She lives not that far from me. Trees came down all around her house and one hit it.

wow a very thought provoking write ….and agree with Donna …it’s said that yawning is contagious but only if you respond or are familiar with that person…we abhor in others what we refuse to see in ourselves …just sayin’ :)

  • Thanks and now you and Donna got me thinking again. :)

Worried about her now. Is it hard for you to check on her and let us know if there is anything we can do?

Loving this poem. People should think before they start judging. Because he don’t know what that person is going through.

  • very true Magenta. thanks for the read

We should all try very hard not to judge other,…..a fault I have for sure,…..
Not really judging,….just trying to show,..What I believe to be a better way,….
I guess I should just mind my own business,….
Things for posting this,..I`ll try even harder now,….

  • I try very hard not to judge but I think it is a learned bad habit from childhood. A tough one to break.
