The Golden Tunnel
(Middle head Fort 5)
This partially submerged tunnel at Middle Head Fort in Sydney was partly constructed in 1873 and added to during the first and second world wars. It was used to access observation posts and gun placements guarding the entrance to Sydney Harbour.
I really liked the way the sunlight beamed through a vent hole and reflected in the water. The golden hue resulted from the sunlight reflecting on the water and gave the tunnel an even more mysterious feel than it already had.
