Based on a Haiku by Japanese poet Basho

acrylic ink, haiku, ink, poem, spider

Born in Oxford UK and now living in a small town in Cornwall (UK). A major source of inspiration in my work is Landscape and natural objects; and I was heavily influenced by the work of Kurt Jackson during my years at art college. In general my painting is about creating atmosphere; I also have an interest in photography on an amateur basis.

Very fine. I don’t know why there aren’t scores of comments on this.

  • Thank you, this one has always been my favourite of my Haiku based work. I’ve only just noticed I didn’t include the Haiku in the description for this one.

    “Spider, are you
    crying- or
    the autumn wind?” -Basho

I don’t actually use this site much, so it may be that my inactivity on the site; is the main reason for the lack of comments.
    Thanks again. :)

This is so minimal. I really like your watercolor effects and the ink on wet. So nice.

  • Thanks.
