Following in the need to work off the festive plumpness, I got on the bike to go off and explore the bike paths of Melbourne.
My first journey was along a path that follows the Eastern Freeway, a path that is roughly a 24km circuit; home to return.
The downfalls of traveling by bike is that my kit is too heavy to carry on a hot day. So I packed the trusty Canon G10 and went off to see what I could find.
Yarra Bend is a location most well known for a golf course full of fruit bats. I was thrilled to find a lunch stop however in a park known as “fairfield park” where guests are able to hire boats and paddle the Yarra River. The beauty of altering this image to Sepia is the that the river in fact has not changed colour at all!!
The Fairfield Boatshed is a lovely location and well worth the visit.
