There were breaks in the cloud letting some sun through. We were hoping that it was a sign that the weather was breaking but it was rain showers all day.

It’s well worth a visit if you like dramatic scenery.
There’s beautiful mountains in England as well, the lake district is stunning although I’ve yet to climb any of them. Scotland has the Highlands with Ben Nevis the highest mountain in Britain.
I’m hoping to climb Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, before the year is out.
