Salt Works

A Cheshire salt works. Brine from dissolved rock salt was pumped to the surface from bore holes, the solution boiled to evaporate the water and crystalise the salt.

Wow – as per above comment. Great photo. And proof that you can get take great photos even with an overcast sky! You just have jumped at the chance when a bit of sunlight came out!

Thanks Mark. Yes – I took a lot of shots at this location – then the sun came out through a gap in the cloud – I love the dramatic, almost spotlight, sun you get at that sort of moment
