Reaching Up

It was a dark cold autumnal morning, and I climbed a hill above Matlock Bath Derbyshire. The light was poor, thus the high ISO settings – as I did not have my tripod. I did however have my new 18-200mm VR Nikkor lens :D

Processed in Elements – as was bar colouring.

D80, ISO1600, 1/100, f/5.6 at 200mm on the 18-200mm Nikkor VR lens. No flash.

I really love the colouring on this Mark – it’s a beautiful serene photo. It’s definitely a favourite. I like the fact that it’s not stark and sharp but soft. Good one mate!!

Brilliant shot Mark, the lighting in this is wonderful. Fantastic use of DoF in this with the subject framed very very well between the foliage and darkness at the top of frame. A very nice soft image that is complimented by the colouring. Very nice.
