Perfect timing to show off amazing detailing of those big fangs and wow can they ever open their mouths wide! By viewing the teeth I notice how their top teeth don’t go deeply back into their mouth, indicating that they are most efficient at ripping meat and swallowing large chunks. Lovely the detailing of the coat and the dark background sets this yawning Lion off perfectly! : )

  • Thank you very much for your comments Sandy, they are always appreciated, Mark.

This is perfect in B&W! Excellent timing to catch those big fangs. I hear in the wild these guys sleep about 20 of the 24 hours away. So, he is probably pretty sleepy. :)

  • Thank you Robert, it certainly sounds like a hard life, sleeping and eating LOL.

Great shot, the picture lends itself to B&W perfectly. Quite right to remove the background, the picture has real impact against the black.

  • Thank you very much for your comments, Mark.
