In the sparkling bejewelled cavern of this quartz geode, a tiny golden figurine of a miner chips away at the stone. He kind of reminds me of those seven friends of Snow White.
I didn’t put him there, nor gild the outside; if I do anything to a stone, it’s to shape or polish it. No, he came with his tiny cave for the handsome price of only a quarter at the resale shop. He’s been chipping away at it for years now, but he doesn’t seem to make much progress. I’ve had jobs like that. I’m retired now. :-D
