The beautiful texture of a rough stone wall in Karakul.

Both the granite boulders, and the mud used for mortar, are materials found in the direct environment of Karakul, high on the plateau of the Pamirs. Not an ‘important’ wall, as it has not even be plastered, let alone painted. But beautiful all the same!

    splendid photo!

  • Thank you very much Evelyn! Sometimes I think ‘is this too simple?’. But then I think – ‘nothing is too simple!’ And I just loved the texture and how the light emphasized it… Thank you for the favorite, too!
