A rickshaw parked behind the red-and-white painted wall of a temple in Pondicherry (Puducherry, India). Just when I wanted to take a picture of it, this little girl popped up from inside it, and focused her complete attention onto something “down there”. She never saw me, totally absorbed in her game.
It seems children everywhere love to play in these covered pedicabs or rickshaws; probably because they provide a nice enclosed space at their scale rather than the much larger rooms of the grown-up world – and of course they can easily hide in one. Compare the small boys I caught playing in Beijing (China) a few years earlier.
