Part of the mini-series: People in Istanbul – sub-series Visitors.
One can never be sure, but this red-haired lady did not look like she was an inhabitant of Istanbul. What did it look like? She had visited one of the monuments in the Sultanahmet area (maybe the Basilica Cistern, or the AyaSofia museum) and bought a big, glossy photo book in the museum shop – and just could not wait to admire it. So she found herself a nice, quiet place in the sun on a bench along the Hippodrome, unwrapped her new acquisition (you can just see the bag on the bench, behind the book), and started leasurely looking through it… and there was no world around her any more, only the world depicted in the photographs in the book.
Or something like that…
